@thegoalzone 2 things they didnt cope with...
The weather
The huge pitch ( St Andrews is small)
Worse than the Bristol game.
We'll obviously lose some games, but we need to bounce back next week and keep ourselves in the mix.
They dont like these conditions and the pitch looks massive too which they dont seem to like.... lets hope he changes things for the 2nd half, need to keep the ball down, put Stanno up top, put Bird or Duksch behind him and play ghrough the middle more, the wings aren't workung today...
I'm not necessarily into financial astrology too much, but the correlation is clearly there to see a lot of the time. Venus retrograde while we've had Choptober instead of the Uptober everyone was calling, Mercury goes retrograde in 48hrs with both staying retrograde through to Nov 13th.
The chop is about to get rather more volatile me thinks....
Fingers crossed for some upside and a Santa Rally when this planetary mumbojumbo is all done with!! ๐ค
@2xnmore C.
Its got the longest way to go to prove the tech can equal adoption, the others are far ahead of QUBIC currently on that score, which means the upside you want from the others may come sooner than 5 years, not worth locking it up for that duration if thats the case.
@rebeccabutlerm2 This is the problem, even when presented with the facts you refuse to believe them and all you can do is blurt out "far right" in response to everything. No logic applied, no thought process, no critical thinking.
Complete and utter delusion!!
THE UK FISCAL POSITION A WEEK BEFORE THE BUDGET.
So we learned this morning inflation has jumped up, with the 1st Burnham-Healey Budget now a week away. But we also got the latest fiscal backdrop this morning. Itโs not great.
The government borrowed another ยฃ24.5bn in September โ ยฃ1.8bn more than last Sept and ยฃ1.9bn above both the OBR's March forecast.
In cash terms it's the second-highest Sept on record, behind only Covid year 2020.
Year-to-date government borrowing is just shy of ยฃ98bn. That's over ยฃ4bn less than YTD 2025 but ยฃ6bn more than the OBR forecast.
Why? Not because of a revenue shortfall. Tax receipts are ยฃ5.8bn ahead of forecast for the year so far (helped by inflation). At ยฃ90bn, September tax receipts were up 5.2% on a year earlier.
Spending is the problem, especially debt interest, which was almost ยฃ11bn in September โ UP 16.6% ON A YEAR AGO, ยฃ2bn above OBR forecast and the highest September since records began in 1997.
Overall, YTD spending is almost ยฃ9bn above forecast. Debt interest accounts for ยฃ3.8bn of that and welfare benefits for ยฃ2.5bn.
The Labour governmentโs two Achilles Heels.
ALSO โ net national debt has passed ยฃ3 trillion โ 94.0% of GDP (over 100% on IMF measure, which allows for international comparisons).
So the UK fiscal position is being undermined by inflation and debt interest. The latest OBR forecast, out with the Budget, will be driven by both these factors. Could make for some dismal reading.
