First bilateral consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro and the United Kingdom @FCDOGovUK were held in #Podgorica 🇲🇪

Led by Marija Stjepčević 🇲🇪 and Helen Smith @HelenSmithFCDO 🇬🇧, the meeting marks an important step in implementing the Joint Declaration on Strategic Cooperation.

Partners reaffirmed strong ties based on shared democratic values and agreed to deepen cooperation in:
➡️ rule of law
➡️ security & defence
➡️ human rights
➡️ economy & sustainable growth
➡️ culture

As trusted allies within NATO, 🇲🇪 and 🇬🇧 remain committed to strengthening peace and security, including continued support to Ukraine 🇺🇦.

The UK reiterated its support for Montenegro’s EU path 🇪🇺 and continued engagement through the Berlin Process.
