In 1998 I'd just moved to Cambridge. So, on this day 25 years ago I looked up local gig listings and a band I'd sort of heard of were playing at The Junction.
So here's to a quarter century of @divinecomedyhq gig-going and the adventures & friendships that it has led to.
Me in 2022, having read about and listened to nothing but Pulp for 2 months. Today, I finally get to see them live!!! @welovepulp@bridspa@AcrylcAftrnoons
March: โThe Sheffield Band Pulpโ was a specialist subject on the TV programme Mastermind. Sarah Trevarthen not only won but also booked her place in the grand final
One of the great joys of the last couple of years was getting to know the Pulp back catalogue in depth for Mastermind. This is up there with their very best, and highlights the influence that Steve Mackey had on their changing sound.
RIP Steve.

@thesunneversets@anngav I shall sign up next season. Although, as already I forgot one mimir this week (joined 1 round in, lost by 3 points) I question the wisdom of this.
@roma_nticise Thank you! Likewise on the excellent UC performance. And, absolutely - the quiz community are some of the nicest humans I've had the pleasure to meet. If you want info on any of the quizzes I mentioned, give me a shout๐
@roma_nticise Agree with OQL & all their competitions, plus Mimir's Well & the monthly BQA Grand Prix as first steps. There's also an IRL league in W Yorks. Quiz in the North is a good regular social event too. I only began quizzing during lockdown and these were all great places to start
@FrankMPaul That should work for us, although TBC if the wine tasting we have earlier in the evening will be an enhancement or a hindrance to puzzle solving.
