The poll has ended 18-8 in favor of Steve no longer being able to choose stages at RU Smashin'. This rule is effective immediately, and all future RU Smashin's will be following this. There is a Google Doc in the RU Smashin' discord explaining how the poll was interpreted

As a response to South Florida's limitation placed on Steve to not allow players using him to pick stages, RU Smashin' is investigating whether players would like the same rule. Here is a Google Form where you can vote on what you would like to see regarding Steve at RU Smashin':
