@bt_uk Dear BT, please explain to me how it is acceptable to charge an 80+ lady, a customer of yours for over 50 years, £36 to receive her bills EVERY YEAR? You have forced her to set up an online account which she is unable to use herself! She is independent in every other way,

@bt_uk Yes, but a twenty year old is able to use your online services, the customer in question is not. Elderly customers are less likely to be computer literate and understand how to use your systems. Therefore, it is ageist to charge them a fee when there is no alternative available.

@bt_uk I understand that your charges are to encourage customers to use your online services instead, but why should she be unfairly penalised when it is not a suitable alternative for her?

@bt_uk So if she ordered her bill in large print she'd get it for free?
(Which is unnecessary by the way. She can't use the internet due to her age/lack of technological ability)

But does not own and cannot use a computer!! How do you expect her to log in and check her bills? You are causing her undue stress and anxiety, and essentially charging her more because of age and computer illiteracy! #ageist #ablelist
