Reposting my OpEd from Sept. because @HBGDiocese is once again putting students, staff, & faculty (incl. my husband) at risk by going "mask optional" DURING this #omicron surge. What a failure of moral leadership. What callous disregard for human life. https://t.co/V1gdRxD6kY
Update on Mosab Abu Toha: he has been released by the Israeli army. Israeli soldiers beat him and he getting medical treatment now and with his family.
To reporters covering the #MauiFire: Please stop characterizing Front Street and Lahaina Town as a “tourist spot”

@crystalhanak My students and I remain so grateful for this visit - and for your beautiful novel! It remains one of my favorite texts to teach in this course!
In 2020, I spoke to a class of wonderful, intellectually rigorous students in @SJ_Menon's Literature of Migration & Displacement course. To find out one of the sts is now writing her thesis on my novel makes my heart sing. This sort of deep engagement—that's why I write.
Hey @crystalhanak - remember when you Skyped in to my Lit. of Migration & Displacement course @DickinsonCol, right before the pandemic started? Well, the student third from the left - Victoria Gralla - is now writing her Senior Thesis on If You Leave Me! How cool is that?! 💖
@hssonline Congrats, @emilypawley - what a testament to your wonderful project! @DickinsonCol is so incredibly lucky to have such a talented scholar, teacher, and colleague as one of our faculty members! 🥰
