@SouthpawSalem@LouMerloni Fact: Nathan Eovaldi's last year in Boston was a disaster. In April he have up 4 HR's in an inning and got hit around a lot. He was injured and missed 2 1/2 months. When he returned he topped out at 90-92.
He turned 33. Not exactly a great candidate to sign for 3-4 more years.
@SmittyOnMLB Both were smart and forward-thinking enough to hold onto them despite the screams by the yahoos who wanted to be "agressive" ie:" reckless and implulsive". Sure, let's trade a #3 prospect for a set-up guy.,etc.
The future has arrived and now we're now set up for a 6-8 year run.
@tylermilliken_ Who's going to teach him what his glove is for?
Another right-handed, slow, white, non-athletic slugger for the Boston Red Sox. Things haven't changed much since the 60's and 70's.
