i would've loved to talk film, philosophy, politics, books, art with michael jackson. genuinely if i get to heaven, i want to hear him speak about those things!!! it's a crime there's very little out there with him discussing them because from what we DO have he was very learned!
🎂🇳🇱 Although Anish Giri (@anishgiri) won't be running for the FIDE presidency this electoral cycle, we still want to wish him a very happy birthday!
The Netherlands' No. 1 turns 32 today – Grand Swiss 2025 winner, Candidates 2026 runner-up, and one of the wittiest and most eloquent figures in chess. For more than ten years, he has remained at the top of the game.
In this video, Anish shares his thoughts on his favourite World Champion – in his trademark style.
Have a great one, Anish! ♟🎉
Today we remember our Uncle Michael.
The world celebrates the artist.
We remember the man who made us laugh, encouraged us, and showed us the power of humanity.
Your music will live forever.
Your spirit will never leave us.
We miss you and we love you, Uncle Michael.
Some of these new Michael movie criticisms are exposing people's lack of comprehension skills. I'm sorry, but Branca was not a white savior in this film. I don't care for the guy, but he didn't do anything that special in the film except do what MJ told him to do.
Hahaha, I promise @chessvaishali and I still argue over the TV remote sometimes! 😅 Thank you for this wonderfully written 'complaint' and all the love, @chessbaseindia.
We are just incredibly grateful for the support we receive from our parents and everyone across the country. Keep the complaints coming!
We would like to go public and express our sincere thanks GM Mahel Boyer and @GirelJoseph GM Joseph Girel, both from France, for helping @rpraggnachess in his opening preparations over the last couple of years. Along with GM @vaibhavschess, we have been able to build a compact unit with high level of trust in each other. We feel this is a good time the chess world comes to know about the silent, behind the scenes contribution of Joseph and Mahel in Pragg's progress. Thank you boys!
For the serious learners in chess, I am restarting my YouTube channel from today. Have been planning this for some months and recently managed to put together a small team to help with recording and editing content. Small baby steps. Will try to post regularly instructive contents in the channel.
Hours after Praggnanandhaa R. won Norway Chess 2026, sister Vaishali R. (@chessvaishali) shines in Tokyo, Japan, where she won the WR Women's Chess Tour's first event in Tokyo. This was a 8-player rapid event with a time control of 15+10.
Vaishali performed amazingly well by beating IM Irene Sukandar in the Quarter finals with a score of 1.5-0.5, she then beat former Women's World Champion Alexandra Kosteniuk 1.5-0.5 and in the finals she was able to overcome IM Alua Nurman with 1.5-0.5 margin.
Tomorrow 7th of June we will have the blitz event. A huge congratulations to the World Championship Challenger. She showed her class with some top quality chess!
