If @KMAkandoh has a shred of dignity and accountability left, he should resign. A Health Minister who turns a hospital capacity crisis into a withdrawal of services crisis has no business remaining in office.
He has achieved the impossible, he took an overcrowded emergency department crisis and escalated it into a confrontation with a CEO that now threatens patient care across KATH. That is not leadership. That is incompetence!
The CEO of KATH was responding to a genuine clinical crisis raised by the Drs. He was responding to a genuine clinical crisis!
And @kmakandoh case was not primarily that overcrowding did not exist, but that the CEO’s handling and communication of the situation exposed his party. How did we get here?
