Sadece bu seçim yine her seçim olduğu gibi gerginliklerin olduğu bir seçimdi. Seçim atmosferinde bu tür şeyler izlememiz normal olsa da #FB tarihinde yeri olan kişilere sosyal medyada ismi dahi olmayan grupların laf uzatması çizgiyi aşan hassas bir noktaydı. Aykut Kocaman, Oğuz Çetin gibi karakterlere eleştiriler olabilecek olsa da "Fenerbahçeli değiller" yazabilecek kadar cüretkar ama ismini açıklamadan yazacak kadar korkak olanların seçimden sonra da sağdan sola savrulmalarını kim seçilirse seçilsin izlemeye devam edeceğiz. Her seçim sonrası tek temennim inşallah bu camia bu bakış açısını düzeltir.

We had the pleasure of visiting Istanbul Technical University, where we were hosted in the class of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cumhur Ekinci. It was a valuable opportunity to engage with students in an academic setting and exchange perspectives on finance careers and professional development.

The discussion began with an interactive Q&A session with the students, focusing on their interests, preferences, and academic stages. Following this exchange, the session addressed financial career options with the aim of providing guidance to the students. Different areas within finance were discussed, including typical career paths, required skill sets, core responsibilities, and general job descriptions across various fields.

Our Board Member Aslı Özok Ay shared insights not only on career journeys, but also on the M&A landscape in Türkiye and globally, offering a practitioner’s view of how the market is evolving. She also walked students through key aspects of the M&A deal process, bringing the topic to life with real-world context. This part of the session served as a general introduction to the broad career spectrum in finance, highlighting how each field comes with its own unique focus and skill set.

Süleyman Katipoğlu, CFA, who is actively working in the industry as a manager, provided a deeper dive into the portfolio management field. Building on his day-to-day experience, he explained the sector’s dynamics, responsibilities, and decision-making frameworks, and shared practical perspectives from within the profession. He also spoke in detail about how the CFA Program has contributed to both his personal development and professional career, and how it has supported his progression within the field.

In addition, we were delighted to take the stage together with Istanbul Technical University students participating in this year’s Research Challenge Program, who shared their own experiences and learnings with their peers. We sincerely thank them for their valuable contributions.

Finally, we would like to extend our sincere thanks to Istanbul Technical University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cumhur Ekinci, and all participating students for their warm welcome and active participation. We wish the students continued success in their academic pursuits and future professional careers.

We recently visited our CFA charterholders members at TEB Asset Management as part of our ongoing employer outreach efforts. The in-person meeting focused on the CFA Program’s role in building talent within the investment industry, with particular emphasis on its global recognition, ethical foundation, and commitment to professional excellence.

We also extended our appreciation for their sponsorship of the 11th CFA CEE Investment Conference and explored opportunities for further collaboration.

In addition, we talked about CFA Institute’s Sustainable Investing Certificate, the Investment Foundations Certificate, and other learning solutions designed to support industry-relevant skills development. We highlighted how these programs help integrate sustainability and foundational finance knowledge into investment strategies.
