Now that President Ruto has lifted the lid on what was happening to our economy just before the 2022 elections, Kenyans need to ask serious questions.
Around April 2022, the political reality was becoming clear: Ruto was gaining ground and the possibility of him winning the August election was real.
What followed raises serious questions.
Within roughly three months, the government borrowed about KSh1.8 trillion.
Then, just days before the election, the National Treasury withdrew KSh6.09 billion on August 5, 2022 to facilitate the purchase of Helios Investment Partners’ 60% stake in Telkom Kenya through Jamhuri Holdings, a Mauritius-based subsidiary of Helios.
All these acts were designed in a way that would leave the incoming administration with a weakened economy and limited fiscal room.
If the intention was to leave Ruto with an economic crisis to manage, then it failed.
Naye Mungu ni nani? Wakunywe Brufens tu.
But beyond the politics, Kenyans deserve the full truth about what happened to their economy in those final months.
Buana, Senator Otieno Kajwang says he feels bad that Bonny Khalwale is polygamous.
Kajwang tells Khalwale that if he continues criticizing him for having one wife, he may be forced to take one of Khalwale’s daughters and add her to his family.
Kajwang also suggests that Sifuna should add another wife to his family.
But what you should listen to is how Kajwang confirms the difficult situation in Homa Bay following the Linda Mwananchi rally and the state of the roads.
I Wasn’t planning on releasing Sweet Love. all I wanted was to sing it for Tumi when she turned 18.That was literally my big plan 🥰. Then RK insisted that I share it with the world & I’m glad I did.
Re-recording it now as a mother of 3 was full circle moment for me. Link in bio
