@Richard_Autism @commaficionado Clinical psychologist or psychiatrist can diagnose ADHD, but only psychiatrist or nurse prescriber can prescribe meds. Can get a private assessment and then ask for meds on NHS, but check with NHS service first as alot of private assessments are not up to required standard.

@pontikomama @commaficionado I work in an adult NHS ADHD and ASD team - the answer to your question is yes, if there is sig level of impairment across at least of two areas of a persons life, which is needed to meet the diagnostic threshold. Hope that helps....

The exam marking fiasco is shameful and all because of fears of a few inflated grades. An inflated grade at worst keeps an academic door open for longer than it would have been, a downgraded grade slams that door in their face for ever.

@DxLate @HartleySamantha Absolutely. My clinical experience in the last few months is that some clients prefer video, some telephone and some have chosen to wait until we can offer face to face appointments again. Be really helpful to evidence this to ensure we keep different options available
