CEO-to-worker pay ratio in 1965: 20-1
CEO-to-worker pay ratio in 1990: 75-1
CEO-to-worker pay ratio today: 325-to-1
Trickle-down economics was always a sham.
Nothing has ever trickled down.
At this point I'm not sure how many Gazans are actually left alive. The Jewish people have murdered an entire city and history will never ever forget this.
It will follow them until the end of time.
It’s so obvious that i can’t believe it needs saying. Pensioners don’t have your money, refugees don’t have your money. It’s the rich who taken it, the clue is they have all the money. Unless we unite to redistribute wealth we will always be poor.
Approximately 78% of MPs are believed to be millionaires. Call me cynical, but maybe that's the reason why they're not interested in introducing a wealth tax.
They’ve been dumping shit in the rivers for six years and the punishment is a fine smaller than the CEO’s annual bonus. We get the sewage and the price rises, they get the dividends. It fucking stinks, in more ways than one.
Man with stubble, "Small boats arrivals are 37,000. There are over 4 million kids in child poverty. And 4.5 million who can't get a dentist appointment" #BBCQT
"We spend 90% of the media discourse on the 37,000. How much more could we achieve if we put that effort into the 4.5 million?"
Well said that man 👏
Everyone keeps calling it a cost of living crisis.
But when companies keep raising prices while reporting record profits, maybe we should start calling it what it really feels like:
a cost of greed crisis.
I just watched the 6 o'clock @BBC News.🤦
BBC is just propaganda end to end. It's just...
Russia bad, China bad.
Russia is jealous of us, China is jealous of us.
No resources for this no resources for that.
Isn't the King marvellous.
Isn't Isreal picked on.
Makes you puke.
Literally every single Conservative policy brain I have ever spoken to accepts that the triple lock ratchet is unsustainable in a world of low growth.
Growing pensions spending by substantially more than economic growth year on year is fundamentally insane.
Adjust the triple lock
Create National Care Service
Take control of water
End leasehold scandal
Build council houses
Call out Brexit for what it is
No attack on Tories
No mention of Reform

@andyburnham
Calling pensioners “the poorest in our society” is just factually wrong.
They are the richest generation in British history. 1 in 4 are millionaires.
Yes, some still live in poverty - but so do many working age people whose taxes subsidise the triple lock.
Watching ITV news right now:
The coverage of Andy Burnham's plans to scrap the pension triple lock looked like this:
- About 30 seconds dedicated to the benefits of scrapping the lock.
- A minute-long sob-story of a pensioner who won't be effected by the change.
- A cutaway to Nigel Farage (who leads one of the smallest parties in parliament) lying about how we would be better off removing benefits from immigrants, scraping Net Zero and some other bullshit
This is how your media will defeat sensible economic policy every single time.
Frankly I'm just glad we're finally having a conversation on where most welfare actually goes (spoiler alert it's not the demographics most of the media want you to think it is)
“How can pensioners live on £241 a week?!” Same way mums get by with a newborn on £194.32 for about 9 months, (then are simply unpaid) I guess. And they haven’t had an entire career to save, pay off mortgages, etc, sorry your state handout is still going up but a tiny bit less.
