It’s ✂️Back to School in #SLCo 🍎 Drivers need to step up their safety around school zones, crosswalks and bus stops. Be familiar with school and crosswalk zones, drive slower, stop for school bus lights and obey crossing guards. Drive safely! #slcopw#utah
How cool is our newest truck? Our Highway Striper carries 550 gallons of paint and 3,000 lbs of glass beads which are used as retro reflectors at night. Our striping team uses 11,000 gallons of paint each year to keep our roads safe. Coming to a city near you!👷♂️🚚 #publicworks
Swipe to see what gates are unlocked! ➡️ Butterfield Canyon is now open to foot and vehicular traffic. Please drive slow, watch out for pedestrians and be safe- enjoy! ☀️🏔️#publicworks#slco#butterfieldcanyon#utah

Celebrating, “National Public Work Week” today with our past. This is an older photo of our current building which is quite the contrast to the former, 50-year-old facility. Our office is earthquake safe and built to LEED platinum certification. #NPWW#TBT#PublicWorks#SLCoPW
What an incredible day celebrating National Public Works Week! @SLCoMayor came to thank our crews personally for all of their hard work! Thank you so much for recognizing us! 👷♀️🚚👷🏾🚧🚦#NPWW#ConnectingTheWorld#PublicWorks#SlcoPW#Utah

👋 We have a sandbagging event coming up at the Public Works Sandbagging Shed in Midvale!
If you're in an area that is at risk for runoff or flooding, stop by and fill up some sandbags.
Don't forget to bring a shovel and gloves 🧤.

We are so appreciative for our Snow Removal Team and their unprecedented winter season! Thank you for your hard work and dedication! #SLCo#publicworks#SLCoPW#snow#utah
Finally, some spring-like weather! ☀️ 😎 With the record snow this year, you’ll likely see lots of spring runoff- turn around, don’t drown! Don’t drive or wade through water on trails or roadways and be sure to keep children and pets away from the water. #slco#utah#flood
Spring is here and that means water levels are rising. Many county parks and trails are designed to be detention basins, so don’t be alarmed if you see more water than usual. Runoff can move suddenly so don’t drive or wade through it and keep kids and pets out of the water.
We get it. It’s been a long winter season and we are ready for spring too! Huge shoutout to our amazing #SLCo Snow Plow Drivers who keep our county running smoothly! 🛻 ❄️💪 #snowplow#publicworks#slcopw#saltlakecounty#utah
