First interview with new Reform leader in Scotland was a bit unusual…
We asked if he’d repeat his party’s campaign claim that Scottish Labour leader Anas Sarwar had said he would prioritise the Pakistani community. Other politicians condemned it. What about Malcom Offord?
Reform, of course, pride themselves as being the party of free speech.
We find even more evidence of the scale of grooming gangs, child sexual exploitation, and how those meant to protect vulnerable children failed to stop it.
And yet, unlike in England, there is still no Scottish inquiry into this. Latest from @itvnews

Two more women have come forward with allegations gangs of men groomed and abused them in Glasgow.
They told @itvnews they were targeted as vulnerable teenagers in care, and have responded to today’s ScotGov announcement there will be a review.
Should Scotland have an inquiry into grooming gangs? Survivors told me they first want an independent rapid, 3 month audit to establish the scale of the issue, similar to Baroness Casey’s in England. This is what the FM told me today.
Note: a Scottish Gov spokesperson swiftly clarified the FM has not instructed Police Scotland to conduct a rapid audit. But police are reviewing the issue “at pace.” @itvnews

The pollsters and the bookies didn’t give them much of a chance but Scottish Labour have won this by-election. They’ve taken the seat from the SNP, with Reform overtaking the Tories to secure third place. @itvnews
This was expected to be an extremely close vote, in the end it was 70 Yes vs 56 No. Many MSPs said they didn't agree with the bill as a whole and would want to see changes, but they were urged to vote on the principle of the bill at Stage One to allow the debate to continue.
