Why not wear sunglasses and walk on the sunny side of the river, knowin the moments you are spending are absolutely worth while. Why not believe in a future.
If you're unhoused, you can vote in the upcoming mayoral election on June 26!
Want to learn more? Here is a handy flyer you can print and share: https://t.co/dmHq32RJUp.
In short: you don't need a fixed address or ID to vote; just let them know this at the polls on E-Day!
They had us both removed by police, along with my service dog my bfs emotional support cat, putting the 4 of us out on the street because security & staff didn't follow directives or honor their own rules!

@aliyapabani It didn't work well and there wasn't a collaboration but there needs to be. The city has to be aligned with what actually works for people. Getting at the people profiting from increasing rent and the policies that allow no rent control situations needs to be addressed.
It's powerful to be motivated by the obstacles, the people, the organizations and systems that need to be overcome. That is potent fuel.
But having a vision of the future regardless of the obstacles in the way of that to me is like having a north star. Felt like sharing this.
Huh, I was wondering why the City didn't release their shelter occupancy stats yesterday...
That's a whole lotta 100%'s.
Literally, if you were an adult unhoused person looking for shelter, either as a couple or single, there was absolutely nothing available.
Formerly Toronto Tiny Shelters, we are now Fat Drop Trailers. Designing, building and selling well insulated camper trailers to continuously fund community housing projects like A Better Tent City in Kitchener.
Support us getting started here if you can!

when people say "there's no community in toronto," lately, i get disappointed. there is community here. they're the ones showing up, endlessly, to defend lamport stadium, alexandria park, etc. if it's not at the function go to your local protest because this city is under fire.
People were arrested trying to protect encampments at Lamport. As such, many took outside 14 Division, chanting to get our friends released. Toronto police acted with aggression claiming they were doing “crowd control.”

@Daver_16@6SportsGod1 Untrue. We were standing there chanting for our friends to be released. No “breaking” was done—don’t know where you got this claim from.
