Once he is ready to step down from a starting role and just be a mentor as a backup or retire that would work for us, but until then he’s going to need to find playing time elsewhere. I love the dude but our current linebackers need to be able to be light, fast, and really good in pass coverage, something he is currently not capable of. I really hope he does retire as a seahawk when he is ready though!

Honestly should have just let him walk earlier, given the backups a chance to prove their worth, worst case scenario they would be getting a free spot in the draft to get an actual Franchise QB and best case the backup actually has a breakout year and they don’t have to draft one. Now they are going to be picking middle of the pack or worse in the draft

Everyone has their head so far up their rear end with value this and value that regarding draft theory practically turning the draft into a game of who can get the better “value” that’s becoming more and more separated from actual football. After Walker left, the Seahawks biggest hole was at RB. What did they fill it with? A first round pick for RB. If they weren’t in a situation to try and keep their championship window open now then I could see the argument for taking better theoretical value and developing a running back from a later round, but the reality is the quality difference between Price and the rest of the later projected backs is so vast that the only real shot at making sure the Seahawks have a potential day 1 starting RB for this championship window was to take Price
