@DrMPaff I was reviewing your posts/commentary on one of the pages/groups I follow. These were in connection to reading, literacy, and educational practices:pedagogy. I was interested in your professional background and experience to give context to your opinions and expertise.
@DrMPaff I am curious, what ages/grades did you teach when you were a classroom teacher? What subjects? How many years have you been in practice as a psychologist?
@KyleneBeers@KatyLiteracy@mrbgilson@katyisd_ELEMCI@HeinemannPub@TCRWP As director, Judy also introduced me to
the late Janet Allen, Steph Harvey, Cris Tovani, Kelly Gallagher, Dr. JAC and Jeff Wilhelm. I feel fortunate to have been “raised” amongst these giants whose shoulders I stood upon as a teacher and also a parent of a child with dyslexia.

I love witnessing their connections and a-ha’s as these dedicated educator’s dive into the why behind the what of developing writers in the classroom. One sharing that he never considered himself a writer until this week/week 1 of the Abydos Writing Institute! @SBISD
Abydos Day 2: Dedicated teachers engaged in book talking their Ludic Reading book AND experiencing how to foster a community of readers in their classroom. Why I love being an Abydos trainer and teaching Reading Wk @SBISD@JoyceEv99185678@MorrisAlana@jennifer_blaine@AbydosInt
Day #2 of Abydos Reading Week. Dedicated educators experiencing what reading is like for those who struggle with reading so they can understand the “why” behind the “what” and “how”. @SBISD@JoyceEv99185678@jennifer_blaine@MorrisAlana@AbydosInt
@AbydosInt@SBISD More great ideas shared. Big reason why Abydos Learning International 36th Trainers’ & Teachers’ Conference is a must attend conference.
@pnunez0279 @houstonpolice I wonder how you can tell that from the photo. Could be that he is 21 and facing the very sad situation that he hit and killed a man? This wasn’t premeditated, it was a tragic situation for the man who lost his life, the family of the man that lost his life, and this young man.
