Yes Ashley! I agree. I enjoy the moments when I can use my intellect and humanity to help my patients realize theirs. A truly beautiful profession that for me is a cross between scientist and artist. https://t.co/MyMpVdbhyg
Today in #speechtherapy I used #exercise to improve breath support and #voice volume. My patient loved to run from the slide to the swings and back again before producing sentences. Her family participated by checking for #intelligibility. Fun and functional. #SLPeeps#SLP#Kids
Today in #speech I used bowling and signed cues to target phrases and #WHquestions. Me: Where do I put the pin? Child: On the ground! Me: What's next? Child: Roll the ball! Me: What do you want to do? Child: Knock it down! Me: Go for it! Child: I did it! Practice makes perfect!

Today in #speech I used small toys such as play food and toy cars and planes to target action words. My kids found the toys hidden around the room or enclosed in plastic eggs and then created a sentence such as "The plane is flying" or "I eat pizza" Much more fun than pictures.
