@TheLadyofAutumn @CyberKevin_FR @nataliereed84 But we're discussing the prevalence of AITs in airport security and this instance, which only failed to blow up the plane due to the terrorist's user error, is literally THE REASON they need to consider such invasive measures. The guy literally had the bomb in his undies.

@XitlalicMusic @nataliereed84 @JackONe88166240 That is EXACTLY what I've been trying to do! Without understanding the root of the issue we can't work towards a feasible alternative. Screaming "no scans!" at TSA and FAA without proposing another solution will never be enough to change policy because they'll say it's worth it.

@backgroundgay @nataliereed84 @JackONe88166240 Absolutely! I've heard of some horror stories from TSA that should NEVER have happened.
A lot of cases where I don't understand why a piece of ID with the passenger's sex didn't clear the issue (can you change your sex on ID without surgically transitioning in the US?)

I mentioned gynecomastia before, but people with pacemakers, metal implants, prosthetics, guide dogs, wheel chairs, etc. also suffer because their "abnormalities" conflict with procedure. I'm not saying it's right. It IS invasive.

@evantesseract @JackONe88166240 @nataliereed84 But when you have to scan thousands of people by the hour and also make sure a tiny explosive or weapon doesn't get on the plane you cut corners to make the procedure more of a catchall and false flags will occur with what is outside of the norm. (4/?)
