@MackieMackie248@Rita_chen28 but for sop8 packages (like in the video) you dont need hot air. just solder 2 diagonal pins down and then the rest. to desolder you need 2 irons. bridge the pins with solder on both sides and heat the sides at the same time. then lift and the ic will stick to your iron.
@MackieMackie248@Rita_chen28 are u using hot air? i find setting the station temp to 280c for leaded and 340c for sac305 does the job. airflow at around 50%. you should not be frying ics at temps under 400c. biggest risk at at 350-400 is board warp.
