We found that the individuals already engaged with the Planning Department are not representative of the City of Boston. Check out who currently participates in development review versus the demographics of all City residents. (2/4)
Psyched to be back in NYC today for @NYCOfficeofTech open data week. I’m moderating the @DataXDesign artist panel discussion today at @BRICbrooklyn
Come by and check it out https://t.co/M0BZ7crpiD
“When you talk about what do you lose with parking requirements? we’re talking about 125 units of affordable housing”
- Jay Monty, @cityofeverettma transportation planner on the benefits of parking reform / Everett’s TDM ordinance
“Councils don’t know what to do about parking [reform]. When you have orgs like @MAPCMetroBoston sharing data on utilization rates of parking at multi family bldgs, you’re ahead of the game” -@henrygrabar giving https://t.co/4Ful1vZA3p a shout out at our panel event today!
“Transparency can only get you so far when you don’t have choice. When you go to the grocery store you have a lot of options. That’s not the case when it comes to the internet.”
-@DKLinn@CityofSouthBend CIO on the limits of data and the challenge of monopoly for digital equity
Just got to Philly with the @MAPCMetroBoston digital equity team for the @netinclusion conference. Looking forward to learning about ways to deepen our practice in Digital Equity Planning and Affordable Housing + Broadband #netinclusion24
Do we think this giant pickup truck couldn’t see the bike rack? Doesn’t know what a bike rack is? Or intentionally parked there (not a parking spot) because he wanted to make the bike rack unusable?
@jenhawkinsonenb@CentralFalls_RI Amazing to hear! We always hoped to put that building to use.
(Also great to see the parallel between my old city and my current city)
Glad my @MBTA commuter rail train is finally stopping in Lynn again as of today—but it never should have been the plan for one of the largest cities in the system to go without service for even a day, let alone for months or years.
