We received a very friendly response from voters today. It was great seeing the sunshine and a crowd of Lib Dem supporters. Residents expressed delight at the Lib Dem-run Harborough Council’s investment in Fleckney and a desire for change at Westminster.

Untreated sewage is pouring into UK waters more than 1,000 times a day.

Yet water company bosses are still being paid millions.

Liberal Democrats are calling for bonuses paid to water bosses to be banned until regular sewage dumps are ended.

Our amendment would have seen water bosses held criminally responsible for the sewage they dump in our rivers and lakes.

We were out in Husbands Bosworth this afternoon. The team all reported back about great doorstep conversations. The smiles on our faces say it all.
