It is so painful to share the news of @FralickMike sudden and unexpected passing ๐
Mike was an amazing, inspiring and generous person who touched the lives of many.
As we mourn, please share and consider supporting his wife and 2-year-old daughter. https://t.co/uErWWCFPde

I never expected my thread about the rise in antisemitism in Montreal to go viral and reach so many people. Iโm grateful that my message resonated so widely.
Since many of you are new here, Iโd like to take a moment to introduce myself:
Since October 7, Iโve been acting as VP and co-founder of the Association des Mรฉdecins Juifs du Quรฉbec, a group for Jewish physicians in Quebec. Weโve built a supportive community, advocated tirelessly for our medical trainees, and taken a stand against antisemitism in healthcare (https://t.co/0DsXaJtLKT).
Iโm a cardiologist and ICU doctor, born and raised in Montreal. My first language is French, but Iโm also fluent in English and Hebrew.
Iโm a proud husband, father, Sephardic, Zionist, Canadian, Quebecker Jew.
Before 10/7, I mostly posted about medicine and averaged 0โ2 likes per tweet. So I think the message is clear that I will pivot Twitter strategies.
My ultimate goal? To put an end to antisemitismโand then maybe, just maybe, find time for new hobbies ๐
.@MayorOliviaChow, do you mind telling the Jewish community of #Toronto what was so important that you couldn't bother to attend the Jewish community's official memorial ceremony for Oct 7?
Shame on @tdsb.
Remember this day and vote out every single trustee who failed to keep Jewish students safe.
To all families and parents terrified for your childโs safety, please know that we will keep fighting. To jewish students, youโre not in this fight alone. Allies, as Jewish students remain a direct target of antisemitic hate in our country, we must step up and speak out.
@tdsb you will not silence nor will you erase the rights, voice and lived experiences of the Jewish community. You have a duty to keep students safe and today you have willingly failed to do so with your divisive and dangerous policy.
Another example of @NDP Jew-erasure: a ridiculous & offensive "purim message" from this MPP.
Purim is a JEWISH holiday about JEWS' survival in the face of antisemitism.
Imagine telling another community what THEIR holiday is about, and then centring yourself in the message.
Last night, Gryfeโs Bagels -a well known Jewish owned business on Bathurst in EgLaw- was vandalized. Add it to the rising wave of antisemitism and hate that is flooding our community. Those who are responsible for these crimes should be brought to justice.
A thread for my non Jewish friends and colleagues on being a Jew right now:
This weekend, we have sat glued to the TV, watching online streams of Israeli news. Waiting for hours as the release of hostages was cruelly delayed. Wondering if it would even happen.
