March is the month for this reminder, but please do not forget this once this month ends. A tiny polyp taken out at the right time can prevent a potential cancer down the line!
Screening saves lives. Start at 45.
#ColorectalCancer is rising in younger adults. That's why average-risk adults should start screening at 45. Don't wait!
If you have a higher risk, like a family history or genetic syndrome, or signs and symptoms talk to your doctor about screening even earlier!
Not sure about your risk level? Take our screening quiz to find out what's right for you: https://t.co/0qNZ8Vky0V
I am extremely grateful to @MaimoHealth for the great IM residency experience in the past 2.5 years. I am honored and humbled to announce that I will be starting a new chapter at home as the GI fellow at Maimonides.
Due credit to my family, friends and mentors who supported me.
Thank you #ACG2024 for giving me the opportunity to present my work and learn from all the great minds. I met my mentors from different institutions and connected with some old friends which made the experience complete. I will be honest that I was also excited about this photo.
I am thoroughly excited to present my work at #ACG2024 . Extremely grateful to my mentors who guided me at every step and my team who supported me. Looking forward to meeting new people and learning from everyone!
Thank-you @MaimoHealth for appreciating everyone at the 64th Gala Maimonides Day. Congratulations to the honorees! Extremely grateful to everyone who considered me worthy of the Resident Achievement Award. The MMC family is behind my growth and I want to continue to improve.
Thoroughly enjoyed presenting my abstract on Babesia, Lyme disease and HLH at #SHMConverge24. Excellent choice of topics for the lectures, including integration of the medical field with AI.
Extremely happy I was able to attend #GMFH2024 and connect with mentors. Good to see how much we are progressing in understanding the effect of gut microbiome on different health parameters. Excited to see how microbiome based therapy will influence management. @AGA_Gastro
March is colorectal cancer prevention month. Remember, 45 is the age to start screening if you are at an 'average risk'. Please discuss any risk factors with your PCP that might warrant an earlier screening. Let's also not forget the value of fiber:

Extremely happy and excited to join the Internal Medicine Program at @MaimonidesMC !! Wouldn't have been possible without the support of my family, friends and mentors.
Eid Mubarak to those celebrating!!!! Prayers and blessings for those who are facing a tough time and are not in a position to celebrate. Please be mindful that the Delta variant is spreading rapidly - celebrate with extreme precautions. Even if you are vaccinated, wear masks.
No country/continent should even think of declaring victory unless they’ve vaccinated over 60-70% of their population.
Including Africa that’s largely spared so far…
COVID punishes complacency and arrogance

Proud of my institution which never fails to impress even in the most pressing conditions. As one of the online examiners, it was a valuable skill to acquire.
Our @AKUGlobal faculty and staff have worked very hard to create a seamless online learning experience for our students. Head to our Facebook Page to watch highlights from our first-ever online summative exam for the MBBS Class of 2023! https://t.co/pLhMSPvbG3
