@LonestarMoney@benkellyone don't limit yourself. I bought a 4m dollar steel fab business and raised most of the down payment from friends, family and a few cold outreaches on LinkedIn. And can easily pay myself from that business 400-500k per year but choose to put it back into the business
@SBA_Matthias Seeing the same thing on my end. Multiples up, seller market right now for sure with more of these requirements like escrow, LOIs before meeting the seller, pay for exclusivity. With the seller equity rollovers, are you finding sellers ok with PG'ing for 2 years?
@SMB_Attorney I see that most have taken their foot off the gas and 2025 and TTM is in declines. There's also the flood of new buyers willing to overpay and not able to actually close and it's muddying the market making it harder for good owners to find good buyers
@thmoneycircle@dealflow_guy a farm is pretty specific and could be construed as a business just as much as real estate. you sound aggressive, everything ok?
@thmoneycircle@dealflow_guy maybe that's what you should have lead with, instead of "same shit". sounds like you are using a very specific experience. Don't disagree, we own a farm, selling to a professional email makes less sense. nuance to everything
@thmoneycircle@dealflow_guy real estate, offer asking, deal done. in business, offer asking, lose out because another person was more credible to taking care of someone's legacy and entire identity buying their life's work. this is the main difference she's conveying. it's about that first impression
You could literally:
• Go to SMBmarket,com
• Filter for $500k-$1M price
• Look for $10k+/mo cash flow
• Verify all the business financials
• Apply for an SBA loan (covers 90%)
• Get a private investor to pay the 10%
& buy a $1M business for $0.
Here's the blueprint that pays me $900k per year:
@JackieHirsch_ it was painful, but I've already acquired one of these steel fab businesses and the first 6 months were smooth sailing because we were properly capitalized. this deal the WC numbers were off by a million between what we needed and they were willing to give
