Thank you Tammy for being a tireless and dedicated champion for the rights of sex workers in South Australia. You got us so close to decriminalisation. You will be missed.
LAW REFORM UPDATE:
Nicola Centofanti's harmful sex work Bill will be debated and up for vote on Wed May 1st.
SIN condemns this bill and emphasises the harmful impacts it will have on sex workers if passed.
Keep an eye out as we update with further details when they arise.
South Aust has the most outdated sex work laws in the country! Criminalising sex work exposes sex workers to 3 x the risk of experience violence & despite many opportunities, SA still hasn't decriminalised sex work to protect sex workers' rights! #SexWorkIsWork#DecrimSA#IDEVASW
In 2008 Australian Prime Minister K Rudd apologised for the forced removal of Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander children from their families. I had the privilege of doing a walking tour of central Brisbane / Meeanjin with Mundanara from BlackCard Cultural Tours (whose mother and grandmother were part of the Stolen Generation). We visited important historical sites around the city. I learnt so much 🖤💛❤️ @FIFAWWC #WrightysDiary #FIFAWWC
