To Jaelynn, I’m sorry. You should have been safe at school. This country has failed you, your family, and your classmates.
We stand with GMHS students and admire their strength as they speak out no longer as supporters, but as survivors.
We march in your memory, Jaelynn. https://t.co/cOPMkgaP8F
Last chance to come to the board meeting at 7pm. It will be held at Fishcreek Elementary school. Stand up for your 1st amendment right and be present. Even if it is out of curiousity and you just want to listen, anyone is welcome.
There will be a School Board Meeting tonight at 7pm. During the meeting, we will most likely talk about the school walkout again. We would love for any students that attended to please come to Fishcreek to listen or speak how you feel the Walkout went and what it meant to you.
A special thanks to Lisa Johnson Bowers and David Licate! These are 2 out of the 5 School board members that stood behind our School Walkout and were for our Student Voice. Keep them behind our School board bc we need people like this representing SMFHS!🐾
I’m so proud of all the Bulldogs that showed up today. We never imagined over 400 people showing up. We made our voices heard. We are the change. #BeTheChange#proudtobeabulldog@SMFHSwalkout
Remember that our Walkout will be at 11am during 3rd period. Exactly at 11am, stand up from your chair, leave your classroom, and walk out to the spirit rock.
Tomorrow some of the people behind the organization of the movement will be giving a speech. Please be respectful in making this a beneficial and organized event.
@SMFHSwalkout Hello, Mike Cowan at BBC News here. We are hoping to talk with students who are involved in the walkout tomorrow. Can you help with this? Many thanks,
Mike
