The final of the student entrepreneurship competition “Verslumo sprintas” took place at SMK!

Creative, courageous, and ambitious high school students came together to develop and present their business ideas, competing for the title of the best concept. The event was filled with innovative solutions, fresh perspectives, and a strong determination to turn ideas into real projects.

SMK presents new research on Cosmetic Procedures and Human Well-Being.

A scientific study by SMK College of Applied Sciences student Austėja Diržaitė reveals that non-injection redermalization can visibly improve aging facial skin while also enhancing emotional well-being .

The research showed reduced skin dehydration and wrinkle depth, healthier skin appearance, and increased feelings of positivity, confidence, and self-satisfaction. The participant also reported better communication, improved productivity, and greater ability to achieve personal goals.

These findings highlight the growing importance of non-invasive aesthetic treatments not only for skin rejuvenation but also for overall quality of life.

Congratulations to the students of the SMK College of Applied Sciences Klaipėda campus – Gvidas Balčiūnas, Karolina Trakytė, Augustas Saliamonas, and Alesia Dmitrenko – on winning a prize at the INNOWAVE hackathon focused on solving tourism challenges.

What idea brought the SMK team this recognition? The team shares:

“We developed an app based on the Tinder matching principle. The locations shown in the app are recommended by local residents of Klaipėda. After selecting 10 ‘likes,’ the app automatically generates a personalized map based on the user’s hobbies and aesthetic preferences,” the team representatives explain.
