Protected my son’s IEP which allowed for speech and social therapy. In PreK he could say 3 words and was too aggressive for a “regular” classroom. He graduated from high school last year and was down to one study skills class. You would never know he had difficulties.

My kid came out this year and the alt-right faction of my family basically disowned him. This is not an “aw shucks we can agree to disagree” moment. There is no kumbaya moment when you think my child shouldn’t exist.

I was able to hold it together until I had to explain to my 13 year old the things likely to affect us, health insurance. Overturning the ACA will kick my eldest two off my insurance and they both have big pre-existing conditions.
