Meet our powerful & capacity National Coordinator SMPC, Amb. Ola @2gud2bad
May Allah (God) reward u handsomely for all your contributions to the development of this holistic aged Association. Despite, the moves of individuals who don't want anything good 4 SMPC, U will succeed!
...a loved one here on earth, we gain an angel in heaven that watches over us. May you take comfort in knowing that you have an additional angel to watch over you, sir. We once more extend our most sincere condolences to you, our mentor.
National Coordinator, SMPC.
My darling wife, @ToyinSaraki, and I are delighted to be hosting the Ileya Hangout at our residence here in Ilorin today.
To the multitude of well-wishers, friends, and good people of Kwara streaming in to celebrate Eid with us — thank you!
Happy Children’s Day to every Nigerian child. You are, without question, the best of us, and full of the kind of hope this country sorely needs.
But I won’t pretend today is one of unclouded joy. Even as many celebrate, there are parents in this country who do not know where their children are. Children abducted from their homes and schools, still in the hands of their captors.
My prayer today is that those children are rescued safely and soon, and that we, as a country, finally find the resolve to make sure no family ever has to live through such a nightmare again.
May the Almighty protect our children. Ameen.
#ChildrensDay2026
Today, as we mark this Eid, I give thanks to Almighty Allah (SWT) for the gift of life, for good health, for family, and for the countless blessings He continues to bestow upon us each day.
I know these are not easy times for many. But even in difficulty, let us not lose hope. Let us hold firmly to our faith and continue to believe in a better future for Nigeria.
Our best days are still ahead of us.
From my family to yours, Eid Mubarak.
Today is the Day of Arafat — the most sacred day of the Hajj, when millions of pilgrims gather on the plain of Arafat seeking the mercy, forgiveness, and blessings of Almighty Allah (SWT).
As we join in prayer today, I urge all Muslims to remember our country and its people. Let us pray for the safe return of every Nigerian still in captivity, for comfort and strength for families grieving across our land, for the protection of our gallant officers and men on the frontlines, and for Allah (SWT) to grant our leaders the wisdom to do what is right for our dear nation.
May Almighty Allah (SWT) accept the Hajj of our pilgrims, answer every supplication, and heal our land.
Ameen.
My first stop was at the palace of our royal father, His Royal Highness, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR, where I had the honour of leading the Kwara PDP family to formally present our governorship flag bearer for the 2027 election, Engr. Kale Kawu.
Today, as the Kwara PDP conducts its gubernatorial primary election, I urge everyone involved to ensure a peaceful, fair, and orderly process carried out in the spirit of unity and sportsmanship.

Chief Olaseni Ibiwoye, SAN,
I sincerely thank you for the loyalty and commitment you have shown to our great party from the very first day. You stood firm when it mattered most, and when the moment came to place the collective interest above personal ambition, you did so without hesitation.
That is the conduct of a true party man.
In politics, seasons come and go, but character endures. Those who stand firm with their party in difficult moments often become the bridge to its greatest triumphs.
My door will always remain open to you, Chief, and I look forward to continuing our work together in service of our party and our dear state.
May the Almighty bless you and your family.
Prof. Ali Ahmad @HonAliAhmad,
I appreciate the sacrifice you have made in the interest of our great party and our dear state. For those of us who have walked this road with you for many years, your decision comes as no surprise. Selflessness has always been your way.
Once again, you have placed the larger cause above personal ambition, and you have done so with the dignity and sense of responsibility that have come to define you.
A temporary setback must never become a permanent separation from a vision you helped build. The party still needs your voice, your experience and your wisdom.
Kwara PDP is richer for having you, Prof.
May Almighty Allah (SWT) continue to bless and reward you.
Omar Bolaji Gambari (OBG),
I want to personally thank you for the maturity, discipline and statesmanship you have displayed from the day you picked up your nomination form to the moment you appended your signature to the consensus agreement.
In our politics, it is not often that a first-time aspirant carries himself with such depth of understanding and commitment to the larger cause.
I know stepping down was not an easy decision for you. You had every right to pursue your ambition to the very end, but you chose to place our party and our beloved state first.
Great leaders are not defined only by the tickets they win, but by the causes they refuse to abandon. By choosing unity at a critical moment, you have shown that your commitment to the PDP and to Kwara goes beyond personal ambition.
By the grace of God, this is only the beginning for you. Your future in our party is bright, and I have no doubt that Kwara has not heard the last of Omar Bolaji Gambari.
The PDP family stands with you, and so do I.
Thank you, @omargambari_1.
I am pleased to announce that, after extensive consultations with stakeholders of the Kwara PDP and our leading gubernatorial aspirants, we have arrived at a consensus candidate to fly the flag of our great party in the forthcoming gubernatorial election.
That candidate is Engr. Kale Kawu.
I extend my heartfelt appreciation to the other aspirants who, in the supreme interest of our party and state, have graciously stepped down to support this consensus. It is this spirit of unity and selflessness that will carry us to victory.
I wish all our members, delegates, and teeming supporters a successful, peaceful, and orderly outing at tomorrow’s gubernatorial primaries.
Today in Abuja, I observed Jummat prayers with some of our Kwarans, including three of our Kwara PDP gubernatorial aspirants — Engr. Kale Kawu, Prof. Ali Ahmad, and Alhaji Omar Bolaji Gambari. Afterwards, we had lunch at my home and enjoyed a pleasant afternoon together.
Friday, May 15: Gunmen attacked three schools in Orire LGA, Oyo State, and abducted dozens of students and 7 teachers.
Monday, May 18: A video of teacher Michael Oyedokun pleading for help circulated. He was murdered shortly after.
Tuesday, May 19: Two CRIN staff at Idi-Ayunre, Ibadan, were abducted by six armed men—the same Cocoa Research Institute where farmers were taken in March.
All of this, in a matter of days, in one state. This is heartbreaking. It is painful. And it should concern every one of us.
Innocent people, including young children, children who should be at home with their parents, are being held captive. The severity of the situation cannot be overstated.
I extend my sincere condolences to the family of Michael Oyedokun and to all those who have been affected by these tragic incidents. My thoughts and prayers are with them, and with every family anxiously waiting for the safe return of their loved ones.
I urge the Federal Government and our security agencies to act with urgency and deploy every available resource to secure the release of all those still in captivity. Those responsible for these cruel and senseless acts must be found and brought to justice.
May Almighty Allah heal our land.
