The GSV Triathlon was held at Altona Beach yesterday morning with 8 SMS girls completing a 300m Swim/ 10km Bike/ 2km Run or a 400m Swim/ 15km Bike/ 4km Run. This is a huge accomplishment as for many it was their first Triathlon!
Spotted! A dedicated group of staff and students hard at work on our sustainable garden project at Berwick Grammar School. Many of these people can be found out there every lunchtime, no matter the weather.
What an exciting day yesterday for our Year 6 girls and boys, not only did they meet the Governor General but they also enjoyed more than 15 mins with he and his wife. They even all sang together in Government House!
Day 2 was jam-packed with experiences for our Year 6 students in Canberra. The morning was spent exploring Parliament House, then they enjoyed seeing how coins were made at the Royal Australian Mint with the day concluding with a visit to the National War Memorial.
Opening Hours for the January Holidays:
The Main Administration Office at the Berwick Campus is OPEN. Junior School, Berwick will reopen on Monday 20 January and Senior Boys, Officer will reopen on Monday 20 January.
The Main Administration Office reopened today at the Berwick Campus. All other areas of the school including the Officer Campus will remain closed until Wednesday 15 January 2020.

Dux for Senior Girls, Rachel Bright and Pranjal Pokhalekar both achieved an ATAR of 99.05, and for our Senior Boys James Agahi achieved an ATAR of 94.95.
Congratulations to our Senior Boys Basketball team. Gold medallist at the National Championships. BGS 55 defeated Erindale 37. Michael Bourne led the scoring with 16 points, Chris Bourne with 10 and Vincent Zappia 10. A huge effort by all involved!
Congratulations to our Senior Basketballers defeating St Andrews 80 to 55 in their Semi Final. Cooper Wright led the way with 22 points followed by Michael Bourne with 18.
The Gold Medal match is at 10am tomorrow at Dandenong Stadium.
OVERALL WINNER - HPV ENERGY BREAKTHROUGH Team Jupiter - our team broke the distance track record and rode over 1000km (1020km) in 24 hrs. Congratulations Rylan Hall, River Dixon, Lachlan Webb, Clare McCurdy, Phoebe Thompson, Jordy Graziano, Miller Marks-Boulton and Sam Thompson.
7 Teams, 56 Riders, 3170 Laps, 4765.72km. These are the collective achievements of the HPV squad at the Energy Breakthrough held in Maryborough over the weekend. Congratulations to all student riders, parents and community partners.
My recent leadership session with Year 8 boys was around belief and commitment . These make us better leaders and sometimes, compel us to be leaders - when we feel the need to act on our beliefs. Then we shared things we believe in strongly. Check some of them out!
