6th Grade Youth Cross Country competed in the first race of the season this evening at Crooksville. Renard Love was the race winner with a time of 6:51 over 1 mile. Zoey Broceus was our top girl finisher in 8:10.

SMS Boys Cross Country finished 13th out of 20 teams at the Pickerington North XC Classic. Jarod Emmert finished 47th (13:02), Lucas Hicks 52nd (13:05), and Everett Stepanovich 66th (13:27) out of 252 runners.

SMS Boys Cross Country won the Buckeye Lake Invitational taking the top 5 positions. Lucas Hicks was the race winner and Everett Stepanovich runner up.

SMS Boys Cross Country finished off the season at the MVL Championships. Kavan Gardner 10th and Terry Glanemann 15th earned all MVL honors.

SMS Boys Cross Country competed at the Backwoods 2 Miler. Terry Glanemann ran a PR of 12:55 and Lucas Hicks broke 14 minutes for the first time.

SMS Boys Cross Country competed at the Berlin Bear Den Dash. Lucas Hicks (14:02) and Jacob Ardrey (14:22) got to hit the PR Gong.

SMS Boys Cross Country competed at the Lancaster Bob Reall Invitational. Gardner was top finisher in 13:28. Hicks and Ardrey also ran strong races on a tough course.

SMS Boys Cross Country competed at the Fairfield Union Falcon Invitational. Gardner won a medal finishing 39th with a new PR of 12:59. Peresta, Zehr, Stepanovich, and Pontious won a medal in the youth race.

SMS Boys Cross Country competed at the Watkins Memorial McGowan Invitational. Glanemann finished 49th with a new PR of 13:36. Gardner, Hicks, and Ardrey all ran big PRs.

Greyson Lackey finished off his season today at the OHSAA 7th & 8th Grade Post Season Invitational. He placed 39th (11:43) in Section A out of 266 runners.

Tate Ruthers won the Division 1 Central District (Sec 1) with a 15:17 as the Generals finished their season in 9th overall. Hunter Adams ran a lifetime PR to finish his HS XC career. Henry Taylor & Isaiah Brown as well as Ruthers all contributed to 4 MVL & 2 District titles!

SMS Boys Cross Country finished 3rd at the MVL Championships. Greyson Lackey (11:32) finished 2nd earning all MVL. The rest of the team finished the season with a new PR!
