This Thursday, January 30th is women's basketballs GOTY! They will face Augustana at 7:30! Please have your teammates bring their student IDs to get into the game as well as wear their brown shirts! Hope to see everyone there!
This Friday, January 24th is swimming and diving's GOTY! We are encouraging fans to show up around 5:30inside the Don Palm Natatorium. Please encourage your teammates to wear their brown shirts. Also, you DO NOT need your student ID to get into the meet, admission is free.
Our ITS A SLAM DUNK DONT DRIVE DRUNK campaign was a huge success on Friday. We would like to show our gratitude to everyone who helped support us through signing our pledge, participating in the activities, and sharing the initiative. Thank you!
This weekend is our annual ITS A SLAM DUNK DONT DRIVE DRUNK campaign in honor of Drake Bigler which will take place at Friday’s games Vs Northern State. We ask that you join us in pledging to always drive sober and keep your friends and family safe as well.
We had the privilege of having the Marshall PD be the guest speaker at our first SAAC meeting to kick off the new year. We had a meeting filled with Q&A’s, mock field sobriety tests, and lots of conversation. SAAC appreciates these officers for taking the time to talk with us.
Our third day of the DEI initiative is dedicated to inclusion. Here at SMSU we do everything in our power to make every individual feel like they belong here. We have two final quotes from Devin Carter and Kirk Nauman to see how they are making a difference here at SMSU.
Day 2 of the initiative is dedicated to equity. We strive as a school to make sure that everyone is included and can participate. We can hear about a few practices that we do now through quotes from hunter smith and our head wrestling coach Chayse Jackson.
Day 1 is dedicated to the diversity portion of DEI. Here at SMSU we support and celebrate everyone’s differences and what makes them unique. Today we have two quotes from Lexy and Caden sharing what contributes to their identity.
This Saturday September 28th is golf’s GOTY! It will take place at Marshall Country Club. It is recommended that your team shows up at noon by hole 9 and 10 (club house patio). Feel free to cheer but remain quiet while they are hitting! Go mustangs!
This Saturday (9/21) is football’s GOTY at 1:00 pm! Bring your teammates and your friends with you to come and support our team to a win! Please wear your brown WIN shirts and cheer loud. Also remember to bring your student ID to get in free. We can’t wait to see you there!
This last Friday our smsu women’s volleyball team was our latest team to participate in high five Friday. It was another very successful morning that brought lots of smiles to the community!
This weeks speaker was the new strength and conditioning coach Zak Snell. We appreciate him taking time out of his day to give us an opportunity to get to know him better as a person and as a coach here. We are excited to see all the things he is going to accomplish here at smsu!
