Wild: Indiana superstar QB Fernando Mendoza was asked about his favorite pregame hype song.
"I honestly don't listen to hype songs because I have to stay cool, calm, and collected. I actually meditate and pray before the game. I think praying, in a way, is meditation to help myself be in my thoughts, as Quarterback is a cerebral position."
This kid is going to be special 😭😭
MLB should really have a second broadcast option where you can watch the game with the local crew on the call. It's absurd that fans go through an entire season with the local folks then are saddled with a national crew with zero insight on the teams they're calling.
United States Coast Guard Rescue Swimmer and Petty Officer Scott Ruskin, directly saved an astonishing 165 victims in the devastating flooding in central Texas.
This was the first rescue mission of his career and he was the only triage coordinator at the scene.
Scott Ruskin is an American hero.
His selfless courage embodies the spirit and mission of the @USCG.
@EWRairport And once you get on the train it takes you to your station but the doors don't open, then it returns to where you left. None of the station employees know what's going on. #trappedontrain#hightaxes#PoorService

@united fl2674, how do you let two morbidly obese people sit in the exit row causing this 1k flyer to have to give up my aisle seat and get reseated to a middle seat due to them overflowing into the seat I paid for? Confused how their inability to fit into one seat is my issue?
This is Officer Mali. On 10/7 she & her team fought terrorists for hours from the roof of the Sderot police station.
When Hamas threw a grenade, she threw it back - killing two.
When the officers ran low on ammo, they took it off the dead terrorists.
Fellow officers were killed around her & she was shot in the hand but kept fighting. “Tell my son I love him”, she said on the radio.
When Hamas made it to the roof, she survived by playing dead among the bodies of her friends.
“I wanted to get as many children back home to their mothers”
This is Shifra, an Israeli police officer and mother of ten!
Last Saturday, she got into her private care and drove independently to the site of the Nova Massacre, where for 12 hours she and 3 other officers evacuated dozens of injured people, and cuffed 11 cowardly terrorists who were hiding in the bushes.
They picked up the living from piles of dead bodies and drove them to safety back and forth in their own cars.

As if San Francisco wasn't dangerous enough, SFPD is experiencing an "unprecedented" staffing crisis. More than 700 officer jobs are currently empty, representing 32.4% of its intended size.
Another 350 officers are already eligible for full retirement.
Between recruitment issues and retirements, the SFPD could be stuck at 50% staffing levels sometime this year.
It's the same story all over. In Minneapolis, the police department has dropped from 900 officers to less than 600 while crime explodes. In Seattle, officers leave three times faster than the city can hire them, despite the mayor desperately offering bonuses to new recruits.
Police officers learned in 2020 that big city Democrats won't stand up for them against the mob. Now, they're leaving those cities to their fates.
