We know what an SSD is. It a type of non-volatilememory were we can store and retrieve data. To a consumer, there are two type of SSD.
a. Internal SSD
b. External or Portable SSD
(9/9) I just don't get it why people buy an external SSD with extremely high price where they can easily make their own. Cost effective, highly customizable, reusable. There is nothing to loose here.
(8/9) Besides, if the SSD fails, the enclosure can be reused with other internal SSDs. If an external SSD fails, it cannot be reused. The whole unit is dead.
Random midnight thought,
SK Hynix, Micron and Samsung are booked for at least 2028. Is there any possibility for CXMT and YMTC to catch the market in the mean time? Or they will be blacklisted due to 'national security'?

Suddenly noticed. Even if you don’t sign into your Microsoft account, Microsoft tracks your laptop, which apps you've downloaded, when you've got it. I've been using my laptop for 6 years. It has the record of those 6 years.
