Lions at the SPC Championships. After a tough 2-3 loss in the quarterfinals to St. Andrew's, the Lions rebounded with a gritty 1-0 win over St. John's and a 4-2 win over John Cooper to take 5th place in SPC 4A.
The Lions faced the Greenhill Hornets in the SPC 4A 3rd place game this morning. A well played game by both teams saw the 0-0 tie broken in the 65th minute by the Lions. St. Mark's followed that with 3 goals in the final 10 minutes of the game to win 4-0. A fun end to the season!
The Lions faced off against Kinkaid in the SPC 4A Semifinals this evening. St. Mark's struck first, but the Falcons answered with 3 straight goals. Final: SM 1 - Kinkaid 3.
The Lions play for 3rd place on Saturday, Feb. 11 at 11 am against Greenhill. The game is at St. Mark's.
A scoreless OT w/ Awty in the 1st round of the SPC 4A Tournament led to PKs. Awty would take the advantage after 2 rds, but T. Tang would stop the 4th & 5th shots to keep SM alive. Awty & SM both finished their 6th shot, then Tang saved the 7th and Ak. Munshi won it with a lazer!

St. Mark's and Hockaday Soccer celebrated the final SPC game with Casady as the schools have shared the soccer pitch for the last 70 years. In a hard fought contest, the Lions and Cyclones finished in a 2-2 draw.
A hard fought game between the Lions and Cistercian Hawks saw the Hawks score the only goal of the game to claim a 1-0 win. The Lions host Casady on Saturday.
Lions beat Ft. Worth Country Day 7-0 in the first SPC counter match of the season. They take the pitch again on Fan Blizzard night against Trinity Valley at home at 7:30 pm.
Lions hosted two teams from out of town this weekend. On Friday, Casady (from OKC) edged the Lions 1-2. Then on Saturday, the Lions played Awty International School (from Houston). The game was shortened by lightning with the teams locked at 0-0.
Lions fall to Greenhill in the SPC 3rd place game by a score of 1-2. The whole roster got to contribute today and the Lion seniors have left this squad in a good position to sustain success going forward.
In the SPC semis, the Lions and Kinkaid Falcons play a nail biter that comes down to stoppage time. With only a minute to play, the Falcons break the 1-1 tie. St. Mark's will face Greenhill in the 3rd place game on Saturday at 11 am at TVS.
End of regulation. SM and Awty will now play two 10 minute overtime periods to try and decide this SPC quarterfinal match. No golden goal. If still tied after 20 minutes, it goes to penalty kicks.
