@CDSamurai_ Hahaha. I did like those mind trips. When it’s a bunch of unlikable dude bros gettin slowly killed off, there needed to be more monster screen time for me to get into it
Here’s one review for two movies I’ve seen recently.
A group of friends try to relive their heyday by going on a trip together. Things get out of hand when they start getting eaten by music concerts.

A decent samurai tragedy. The story was fairly good if not drawn out, but the way it played out in the end made me feel like “oh... this whole thing was just so Toshiro Mifune could kill a bunch of dudes with a sword” 😕 #SamuraiRebellion
Some great action sequences, and cements Michael B. Jordan as a next-level movie star. He’s clearly the standout of the movie. Also, I liked the little shoulder shrug battle dance #BlackPanther
Self-aware and thoroughly entertaining. And there’s a truckload of famous actors. Like....... a lot a lot. So if you want to cheat at the connecting actors movie game, memorize this movie lol #ThePlayer
Ultimate man-actor Peter Saarrrrsgaarrrrd stars in this extremely good film about complicity and obedience experiments. The writer / director uses fun meta & staging techniques to heighten the story and I loooooved it #Experimenter
Days before the end of WWII, a train full of Paris’ finest paintings is on its way to Nazi Germany.
John Frankenheimer directs this excellent and exciting film starring Burt Lancaster. The cinematography is absolutely wonderful and the story is unforgettable #TheTrain
This is the worst movie I’ve seen in a long time. Garbage writing, boring directing. I think they just booked the actors first and shit out the script after #BeingFlynn
Spanning decades of a nun in her prime, Sister Luke finds difficulty putting God before the health of her patients. I wanted to see more of her life after the movie ended, even after 2.5 hours! #TheNunsStory
A comedy re-dub of an 1960’s Italian movie called Hercules. But also there’s an in-movie story & justification for the re-dub which I find hilarious. Worth tracking down (it’s free on youtube) #HerculesReturns
Violent, gritty. Directed with a TON of frenetic energy. Quick-paced, wasn’t able to follow closely enough to know what was going on. Not necessarily a knock against the movie, but didn’t really hold my interest #BattlesWithoutHonorAndHumanity
Starts out as a seemingly standard fare Bollywood fantasy movie, gets good in the second hour, and goes full on epic in third. The story was surprising and really hooked me by the end #Baahubali (The Beginning)
Two things to note. There’s a cringeworthy misogynistic scene with the main character. Feels out of place from the rest of the story. Second, watch the movie in Tamil (instead of the dubbed Hindi version)
