As it relates to the Transit Overly District on New Bern the City of Raleigh’s website says it will “tell the story of New Bern’s history and culture boldly in the form of public art and placemaking.” Sounds like gentrification to me. Why do you have to tell the history of a culture or of a people who can tell that history and culture through its continued existence and presence?
