Recently my mom was playing tag with my son, running through the same fields we played in when I was a kid, and it was like seeing her go back in time to the young mom she was 30 years ago. She was sprinting like she hasn’t done in years, laughing until there were tears in her eyes, and all I could think of was how joyful she was to feel like “mommy” again, all thanks to my little boy.
