Don't care if it's a white out or not, but handing out black 'HARD TO KILL' towels is next level.
Let's make it happen.
@JimNagy_Sooners @GabeIkard@TedLehman11@brent
Get this passed up the chain.
Brent Venables takes a 6-7 team that lost to Navy in their 2024 bowl game.
New QB, New OC, faces Top 10 SOS in the SEC.
QB breaks his thumb in week 4.
Wins 10 games.
Closes out the session with 4 straight SEC wins.
Not only makes the playoffs, but will host a playoff game.
If Oklahoma comes to the SEC, they will never make a CFB Playoff again.
As for Texas, I suppose we will welcome their money in exchange for their 6-6 record and Alamo Bowl Game bid in perpetuity.
@BWagonSports If Stutsman isn't injured vs kansas or osu in 2023 we probably win 1 of those games, if not both. We had no other depth developed there yet. Remember the defensive roster was TRASH when BV arrived & that was only year 2 in a full program overhaul. Let him keep building. BelieVe
@BWagonSports Hmm... we've won 10 games just 42 times out of roughly 120 total seasons played. I would say any 10 win season is meeting the standard to a reasonable observer. For sure, making the Big 12 championship game would have been nice in the final year in that mickey-mouse conference.
@BWagonSports He's gone 10-2 twice lol. Last year he had a fraud QB, 0 receivers, injuries everywhere. We should have high standards, I agree with you there. But with the coaching carousel this year, firing him was not an option. Look at next years schedule, realistic to expect 9-3 or 10-2
@BWagonSports Following your suggestion would have landed us where Penn State is right now. Lost, coachless, recruits all bailing, current roster poached in the transfer portal, etc. BV is the right guy. If he gets a elite QB in the next 3 to 5 years, it's a title. Be grateful we have him.
@BWagonSports Checking in... That still your list? Or are you now glad we didn't take your myopic, reckless advise to fire BV in the middle of the very season in which he was turning us into a playoff team? Which guy on your 'list' got their team in the playoffs?
Be nice? Yes, let's be nice. What is NOT nice is hormonally or surgically mutilating children, cheating your way to stealing women's athletic medals, lying your way into women's spaces, debauching language etc.
I can't recall seeing a schedule where every single future conference opponent is currently ranked. Oklahoma's schedule is ridiculous. I guess the "positive" is only three of them are true road games.
Auburn just outgained Alabama 411 yrds to 280 yrds... Alabama won the game.
The winner of an American football game is determined by points scored, not total offensive yards gained. Hope this helps.
Lol btw, Miami is in a conference where 7-5 Duke might be the champ. GTFOH
Oklahoma is 2-0, getting a 71-yard fumble return for TD against Tennessee in a game it was outgained by 105 yards and 87 yard INT return for TD against Alabama in a game it was outgained 194 yards.
That 'mystical SEC bias' is just FORCING people to tune into these games. It has also, apparently, forbid and prohibited all the Big12 fans from even tuning into ANY of their conference games.
7-2 Oklahoma (ranked #12)
• Beat #21 Michigan
• Beat #25 Tennessee
7-1 Louisville (ranked #15)
• Beat #18 Miami
• Beat #24 Pitt
• Beat 7-1 James Madison
Losing more games and having worse wins is rewarded by the committee if you’re in a certain conference.
Ridiculous.
X Robinson
10 SEC games:
472 yds on 76 carries (6.2 ypc) 7TDs
He was only given 3 carries vs Texas & 8 carries vs Ole Miss.
DeMarco(or someone on staff) was apparently unaware he's obviously RB1.
My 11 year old knew he was our best option & should get 20 cpg last Nov.
Unreal.
