Wong Kim Ark was born in San Francisco in 1873 to Chinese parents who lived legally in the U.S.

After traveling to China, he was denied re-entry into California by customs officials who claimed he was not a citizen due to the Chinese Exclusion Act.

Wong Kim Ark went to Court. In a 6–2 ruling, the Supreme Court held that Wong Kim Ark was an American citizen at birth.

Immigrants anywhere in the world succeed far more than nativists because they have no safety net and failure is not a choice. This is not an American thing. This happens everywhere.

Biharis don't succeed in Bihar but they succeed outside Bihar. Why?

You go to any state in India and you will see tendency to hire people who are outside of that state.
