Bafana Bafana controlled large portions of the contest, dictated the tempo, and kept asking questions of the Czech defence throughout the 90 minutes. After falling behind early, they showed character and composure to fight their way back into the game and earn a deserved equalizer.

Czechia were ruthless with their early opportunity and defended stubbornly for long stretches, but South Africa's persistence eventually paid off. In the end, the draw reflects the resilience of the African side and keeps their hopes alive heading into the next round of fixtures.
