Big M’s 50th anniversary, 9/1/2026
Old days,
Good times I remember,
Fun days,
Filled with simple handicapping,
Carvel, the food concessionaire Harry M Stevens; hot dogs, beer popcorn and pretzels.
Post time at eight, ten races nightly except on Sundays.

On to Cincinnati…, in harness racing terms on to The Red Mile, many of us prefer the bigger tracks, but last night was good. Can’t wait until next year in Lexington….
Is The Meadowlands doing anything special for Breeders Crown? I’m in the area, wondering if they are promoting the event at all in their venue, curious if they will have special viewing for Scioto Downs Breeders Crown races? @TheMeadowlands@DaveLittleBigM
@atTheTrack7@HarnessEyeGuy Darin, I respect your insight. I’ve been a fan since i was 17 at Freehold, but once you see 10 horses or more and they all have a reasonable betting chance to win, why would go to smaller oval. My feeling is increased permutations is better for tracks/bettors maybe owners too.
Breeders Crown Two Nights Elimination Handle:
2026 at Scioto Downs: $1.58 Million
2025 at Woodbine-Mohawk: $3.67 Million (USD)
2024 at The Meadowlands: $4.38 Million
2023 at Hoosier: $2.4 Million
The big event does not take the handle with it to the host-track in harness racing. The host track is the larger impact on the handle of the big event than the big event has on the host track.
@atTheTrack7@HarnessEyeGuy Darin- u seem to me to be the only person that is willing to constructively analyze. Just my opinion, also i do have a bias, i dont think Breeders Crown should be held at 5/8 tracks, 7/8 or mile, allows for ten or more entries, better for fans, better for handle.
