Visited Bishop Williamson’s House-Chapel. Later had tea with him, and after he and I had a terrific lunch. He’s doing well, very generous and his advice is stellar. Please do pray for our Bishop’s continued health!
“Glory be to Him on high, Who mixed His salt in our minds, His leaven in our souls. His Body became Bread, to quicken our deadness.” St Ephram the Syrian, Hymn II https://t.co/JiYrN0VPeD
From "Divine Intimacy", by Fr. Gabriel of St. Mary Magdalen, O.C.D. (1952) “The Sacred Heart explains the mystery of the love of Jesus by which He becomes bread in order to nourish us with His substance, while in the Eucharist we have the real presence of this same Heart”
A similar phrase appears in the Sayings of the Desert Fathers:
“God knows human nature and that man cannot eat raw flesh and that is why he has changed his body into bread and his blood into wine, for those who receive it in faith.”
Fr Feeney said something similar, in Bread of Life (1952) “After all, the human nature of Our Lord has a limited space. But for Infinity to become so finite, for Omnipotence to become so helpless...!”
in his usual pithy manner when he exclaims: "usque ad carnem, usque ad crucem, usque ad panem" (even to flesh, to the cross, to bread).” https://t.co/zRtIkzWOEU

@fabius10scudi The first quotation was literally “He becomes bread”, now I totally agree there are many sense which require radically different degrees of carefulness and precision, however I think Leo is occupying a space of mystical language, avoiding theological precision.
What an inspiring, edifying and moving film!
The SSPX have long deserved such an incredible portrayal of their work.
Providential. Can’t wait for part 2! -

What is this guy talking about? We have video of St. John Paul II saying these words, he speaks in English, and he says “this land.” The Vatican is just correcting a transcription mistake on its website.
@MidnightPhilosX@PauloSchule@kingofthehood89 Interesting how you follow a lot of proud homosexuals and sexually degenerate. What a coincidence. Others in these replies, by some coincidence, follow and or even post pornography.
