1.Young workers typically turn to community colleges to invest in skills when unemployment increases. But the onset of COVID was different. Enrollment at community colleges declined by 9.5 percent between 2019 and 2020, with the drop larger among men.
The TX Commission on Community College Finance met for the 2nd time on 12/13. Members heard remarks from @HKellerEDU, @dallascollegetx, @Commit2Dallas, @saragoldrickrab, @Capital_IDEA, & several college presidents.
