@PaulONeill1972 Trauma is so invasive. It really impacts a student in more ways than you can imagine. I agree that professional development and that with working closely with community resources can really help. I did a presentation on trauma last year and it was eye opening.

@PaulONeill1972 I think they get overwhelmed and don’t have a lot of time for “free thought.” Incorporating mindfulness and even 10 minutes of meditation a day might help them tap into their curiosities.

@PaulONeill1972 I love encouraging my students to do independent research and projects during down time or at home and then have them create a way to share what they learned with the class. Leaving it open to whatever (appropriately) inspire you also leads to student buy in.
