@Ratmapache Yeah Tripwire and tails have the same range. So... thats what's happening with tails laser. It's just easier to show with tripwire.

I've learnt. Tripwire and tails have a limit on how far laser goes. Which is fine. but NP's skybox is so far away the game sometimes doesn't register there's a wall. So it'll just not shoot the laser. This is only a problem because tails can fly and laser isn't able to hit them.
