Not sure if I’m specifically challenged in this regard, or if some hotel showers are genuinely so confusing to operate that they should probably come w a manual
@NightShiftMD I find the passing of a loved one is a true defining moment of learning who you can count on to be there for you. Often very surprising, revealing.
Take those lessons to heart.
Watching your kids play sports because you just ‘love watching them play’ is diff than watching them play as if they need to earn a college scholarship with each move they make. One perspective appreciates the moment & the other is filled w/ stress & expectations. Easy choice.
Culture glorifies working beyond your limits, pushing through, and doesn’t allow for the natural seasons of life.
The result: an unwell collective—dissociated and deeply disconnected from our own bodies.
Drop your shoulders with me, dear ones. My little world is a heavy one right now, and if yours is too, just remember, we were never meant to do any of this alone. Lean on your people. Call them in. Somedays this walking each other home shit is so hard. But it’s why we’re here.
Potentially unpopular opinion: if you can’t teach the whole curriculum without homework, your curriculum is the problem. Kids aren’t“quiet quitting” by expecting to only do work @ school. After 7-8 hrs of work, they should expect to protect their peace & find joy when they leave
Operated on a little girl who really wanted to bring her Teddy bear back to the OR with her. Of course we said yes, but he had to comply with the proper dress code 😊🧸😷
It is unacceptable that summer and the heat waves that come with it are here again but the Ontario government still hasn't installed air conditioning in NINETY LTC facilities across the province. This is exactly what ageism and ableism looks like!
