First up on tomorrow and not to be missed will be the album launch of Magpie Robin's Songbook. The Doyel Pakhir Ganer Katha or ‘Robin-Magpie’s Songbook’ is an album of music featuring songs from the Bangladeshi War of Independence of 1971. @KhadirMeer
Percussionist, producer and composer Davide Giovannini will perform on drums, formerly of the Afrocuban percussion duo Afroshock, currently leading his Brazilian-jazz group Minas Project.
We are super excited to kick off our autumn concert series with this night of Contemporary Latin Jazz Guitar with Neff Irizarry and his all-star group! Join us, tomorrow, on 28 September at 6 pm, once again at the Brunei Gallery Lecture Theatre.
Renowned bassist, composer and band leader Davide Mantovani will be bringing his talents and experience of working with artists including Lisa Stansfield, Baaba Maal, Seckou Keita and Zoe Rahman.
Samer Rashed has performed in concerts and festivals across Europe and the Arabic-speaking world. Most notably, he has performed at the Proms Festival in London, Lebanon’s Beiteddine Art with Marcel Khalife, and at the World Jazz Festival in Germany.
